Where is VATSIM UK Live! going to be held?
We have booked one of the conference rooms at the Aston Business School Conference Centre and Hotel in Birmingham.
When is VATSIM UK Live?
The event will be held on Saturday 19th August and Sunday 20th August 2023. On each day the event will run from 10am to 10pm.
Is there an age restriction?
You will need to be 13 years or older to be able to attend as per VATSIM rules.

How much does it cost and what is included?
Rental of the room, internet connection and power are all included in your booking. A booking fee also applies, to cover debit & credit card charges. This is added to your booking at the cost charged to us by PayPal.

One Day - £20.00
Hotel accommodation is also available on-site for Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights, and can be booked directly with the venue.

I don't have a PayPal account or a credit/debit card, can I pay using cash/cheque?
Paying in cash is not possible as bookings need to be made prior to the event. Cheques are not currently accepted since we do not expect many people to require this. If you have any questions about payment methods, please contact us directly.
Do I need to pre-book?
Everyone attending VATSIM UK Live! needs to have booked a place, it will not be possible to just turn up on the day. Conference Aston requires us to confirm the number of people attending at least two weeks prior to the event. The organisers also need to ensure that they are providing sufficient equipment for the event.
Who may attend this event?
Any VATSIM member can attend, pilots or controllers!
I am under 18 years old, are there any restrictions?
As per the Terms and Conditions for the event any members under 18 years old will have to be accompanied by a parent, guardian or responsible adult. A responsible adult could be another VATSIM member, but a parent/guardian must have agreed for them to be responsible for you.
What COVID protocols are in place during the event?
We will follow the government guidance in place at the time and we do not expect to have any mandatory entry requirements besides this. However, we encourage all members to behave responsibly during the weekend.
Will my equipment be insured while I am at the venue?
VATSIM UK will ask Conference Aston to lock the event room in the evenings, however neither VATSIM UK nor Conference Aston can be held liable for damage/loss/theft of property, this remains your risk at all times. If you wish to arrange insurance for your equipment you will need to do so privately.
I do not agree to one/some of the Terms and Conditions. Can I still attend?
If you are not willing to agree with the Terms and Conditions we will not be able to accept a booking for you and you will not be able to attend the event.
